He graduated from Faculty of Economics of University of Indonesia in 1982. He served as Independent Commissioner since 2011. He has held several key positions in many companies, such as Director of PT Inter Pasific Financial Corporation (1990 - 1991), President Director of PT Inter-Pasific Securities (1992 - 1996), Commissioner of PT Bursa Paralel Indonesia (1993 - 1994), Commissioner of PT Bursa Efek Jakarta (1994 - 1996), President Director of PT Bank Prima Master (1996 - 2000), and Member of Audit Committee and Risk Monitoring Committee at PT Bank Bumi Artha Tbk (2006 - July 2012). Since 2002 to present, he also served as Independent Commissioner of Bank of India Indonesia Tbk (previously acknowledged as PT Bank Swadesi Tbk) and since 2007 to 2011, he served as Commissioner of PT Aplikanusa Lintasarta as the representative of Perbanas Foundation.
