Metland Held 2017 Public Expose
Property develope, PT Metropolitan Land Tbk (MTLA), participated in the Public Expose Marathon event in Jakarta held by Indonesia Stock Exchange to celebrate 40 years of Indonesian Capital Market in Jakarta (8/8). Metland presented the Company’s performance exposure up to the first semester of year 2017 followed with the Company’s new projects plan as well as ongoing projects development.
Up to second quarter of 2017, MTLA booked a net profit of IDR 111,9 billion, 14% lower compared to the same period last year. The total operating revenue of MTLA in the second quarter of 2017 is amounted to IDR 487,5 billion, down 8.4% compared to second quarter 2016 of IDR 532,4 billion. "The decline in profits came from the low presales in the first half of 2016 which in return impacted the low recognition of sales until June 2017. However, recurring income increased by 11%," said Olivia Surodjo, Finance Director of PT Metropolitan Land Tbk. at the Public Expose (8/8).
Metland participated in the construction of Telaga Murni Station, which in this case; Metland supports the Government of Bekasi Regency in the field of transportation. This project is collaboration between the Government of Bekasi Regency with the Ministry of Transportation RI Directorate General of Railways supported by PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI). Construction of Telaga Murni Station is part of the plan to expand KRL range from Bekasi station to Cikarang station. Ir. Anhar Sudradjat, Vice President Director of PT Metropolitan Land Tbk, said that the new station is likely to revive the properties in the surrounding area, including Metland Cibitung project, which is currently being developed.
The development of the first tower of the strata apartment Kaliana Apartment in the Urban City commercial area in Metland Transyogi have started since January 2017, this development is part of the development plan of four apartment towers in the area. Meanwhile, the development plan of Metland project for 2017 which has been included in the agenda is launching of Condotel in Lampung, launching of Metropolitan Mall Cibitung and launching apartment in Metland Tambun.
Another new project that is on the agenda and will be launching soon is One Parc Puri, a mixed use project in collaboration with Ascendas Singbridge Singapore at Metland Cyber City as well as one cluster of landed residential project in a 12 hectares area in collaboration with Keppel Land. "Metland has also bought land in Ubud, Bali some time ago," said Thomas J. Angfendy, President Director PT Metropolitan Land Tbk. "The location and view are very good, and the plan is to develop a hotel and private villas," he added.
